What do you guys think was the most realistic thing we saw in the video?
I think brother future was a good movie. I liked it because it did a very good job of explaining and showing what slaves actually had to do every day. I also thought it was a good movie, because it not only taught you alot but it put it in a way to keep you intrested on the topic, by having him come from the future. I thought it was a clever teaching tecnique in the movie because since he came from the future, it showed the differences between now and back then.
after t.j. got hit by the car why did he suddenly go back to the 1800's instead of waking up in the hospital or put in jail
I also liked the movie because of its teaching techniques. I liked how they had TJ come from the future and have to be a slave. I also liked the movie becuase of the fact that it showed you what being a slave was like.
I think brother future is a good movie because just like katie said it show how the slaves live and how life was like. I also liked how it shows how people live today and how big of an eye opener it is to see what life was like ass a black. I was also wondering why they split up the familys. I thought as if i was a slave owner.(which im totally against) i would want as many i can get. Plus its good for the slave and makes it a little bit easier. Overall i thought it was a good edicational video!

i think that brother future was a great movie cause it taught us about what it was like back then.My favorite part was when he lead them to freedom!! :)i thought it was cool when they showed us what is was like back then to now.
I think the most realistic thing in the movie was the slaves getting wipped.RE: Responding to what Lucas said, he went back to the 1800's because thats how movies go with the flow.Also, I think it would have been kinda cool if T.J had gotten shot at point blank instead of while he was running away.

i think that the most realistic part of the movie was when the slaves where wipped. I also think that is was very realistic when theu sold they slaves like cattle.
i think the movie is good to show in class because it really relates to the chapter we are working on. (:
i loved the movie but i hated when tj and josaih got whipped. is that really what they did? why were they so mean. didnt they know if they whipped them they cant work as good? wouldnt ttehy want the best quality out of their slaves?
I liked the movie and I thought it showed us how much things have changed from back then to now. I think the most realistic thing in the movie was when they got whipped even though it was really sad.
I think brother futer was a great movie. I liked how he got hit by the car and had to go back in time and be a slave. The movie teaches us how hard it was to be a black person.
I think that Brother Future really taught us how it was like to be slaves and I think that it put a modern twist (sort of modern) on the movie instead of just watching just a boring history video that puts people to sleep and I enjoyed the movie !!!
The movie waz da bomb!!! I. liked the fact that it was based in the 90's and the 1800's cus I never experienced it before and this gives me an idea.I just cant get enough of History movies and I watch the History channel all the time.My favorite parts of the movie was when nobody knew what T.J. was talkin about cus of his slang talk.Its hilarious!!
I thought the movie was great they showed what happen to slaves they had to work all day. also i liked when we watched it in class because i learned
so much. it was a sad story because the kid did not know where he was because he was sold. so i really did like it.

I thought the movie brother future was a great movie. It taught me all about life and slavery back in the 1800s. It was very sad when the slaves were whipped but that is how it was like back then. So over all i thought the movie over all was great.
I thought the movie was good for class because it showed how hard it was for a slave. I didn't know that a slave driver could be black I thought that they couldn't trust them so they only had white people do work like that
Brother Future was a good movie to watch for sotial studies because it shows how slavery was. The movie was kind of intrresting to watch.I can't believe slavery was that harsh.
I thought brother future was a good movie. They did a good job of showing just how poorly the slaves were treated and how they did not have as virtually any rights. My favorite part of the movie was when T.J. tripped Zike because I thought it was funny and that he deserved it.
My favorite part was when he relizes that hes there for a reason and that now he knows what happened in slavery time.
I liked the movie because it really showed what slavery was like. All the back-breaking work and horrible punishments. I especially liked the part when TJ says,"Okay, I'm going to count to three and wake up. One, two, three!" Then Zeke punches him.:)
I thought "Brother Future" was a good movie for this class. I thought it taught us a lot about slavery and what they did every day from dawn to dusk. I was mad that the masters were so cruel to the slaves. But I am glad that slavery in America is over now
the movie brother future was good cause it taught us about how slavery was . and i think people need to see how bad things are , cause i dont think it really gets to people if it is just explained all the time.people need to see things some times to really get what had once happed.
My favorite part of the movie, Brother Future, was the part at the end where TJ helps Josiah and Caroline escape. Where they were at the party confusing Zike. I only have one question. Where were Josiah and Caroline heading??? The Ohio River???
I though brother future was a great movie. it showed how slaves were treated and how life was like as a slave. it also taught me that slaves were treated more horrible than i would have ever though.there is a big change now than back then.why is it illegal for slaves to read and write?

I like the movie alot. My Favorite part was when T.J got hit by a car and went back in time is stead of being dead. Also i like the end when his friends got away and he went back to his own time and decided to start going to school more.
I liked the movie brother future i wish i would of not been sick so i could of seen the end but i liked it, i thought it did a good job of showing how slavery was a long time ago and that people are treated diffrent now.

I thought the most realistic part of the movie was when they tried to run away and there owners tried to shoot at them. And after that they got wipped.
There are many reasons why we and other people study and spend so much time on the civil war. I think we studied and spent so much time on the subject, because this made a huge impact on the country then and now. If this did not happen I beleive the government and the country would be vary differant. I think savery would be legal and african americans would not have as many freedoms and rights. Many people that have changed the discrimination of black people such as Malcom X or Martin Luther King Jr. would not have made the impact that they have, if the civil war did not happen. I beleive the American Civil War is one of the most historical subjects in our country's history.
I think the civil war is important to learn about because it is a part of our history. It changed our nation. It got rid of slavery and brought our nation closer together.
